Final expense live transfers: cost, pros and cons

By BuyFEXLeads · Updated

A final expense live transfer is a call a screener has already started, handed to you while the senior is on the line. Vendor pages we checked in September 2026 list $20 to $70 per transfer, and one lists $250 to $300. You pay once a call passes a set buffer. We don't sell live transfers; we sell leads and inbound calls.

What is a final expense live transfer?

A live transfer is a phone call a vendor has already started, handed to you while the prospect is still on the line. Most final expense transfers are outbound: a call center dials seniors, asks a few screening questions, and transfers the ones who say yes. Lead Heroes, for example, says its telemarketers use “multi-line predictive dialing software” to find prospects and transfer them to an agent. Some vendors also sell inbound calls, where the senior dials a number from a TV or web ad and is routed to you.

You usually pay only for calls that stay connected past a buffer, a set number of seconds after the transfer. A call that drops before the buffer isn't billed.

We don't sell live transfers. We sell exclusive final expense leads from our own ads, and optional inbound calls from people who dial our number themselves. This guide is here because agents compare them.

How much do final expense live transfers cost?

Prices on vendor pages we checked range widely, mostly by how long a call must last to count:

VendorPriceWhat counts as billable
Final Expense Leads Pro$20, $25 or $30 per transferA 90, 120 or 180-second buffer. “Once a live transfer reaches the selected buffer time, the call is considered delivered and billable.”
Liv Calls$50 to $70 per transfer“Qualified” calls; buffer not stated. “No contracts, no setup fees, no minimums.”
InsureLeads$250 guaranteed issue, $300 level or gradedPer transfer, after connect. Replaced if the 30-second buffer fails. Month to month.
TTC Leads (inbound calls)$68 per TV call; $27 per web call (on sale, was $30); $38 per Spanish web callCalls under 15 seconds credited. Minimum 10 TV calls or 25 web calls.
Lead HeroesNot publishedNeeds at least 3 agents available; transfers in a 10am to 2pm or 2pm to 6pm block.

One pricing guide puts typical final expense transfers at $40 to $90 each (The Price Group, May 2026, checked September 27, 2026). For every lead type side by side, see how much final expense leads cost.

What to ask before you buy transfers

  • How long is the buffer? A 90-second call and a 180-second call are different products. Ask what happens if the senior hangs up at second 91.
  • Inbound or outbound? Who dialed whom, from what list, and with what dialer.
  • Exclusive? Is the caller transferred to you only, and could the same senior be sold again later?
  • Minimums and hours. How many calls per order, and which hours you must be free. Missed transfers may still cost you.
  • Consent and records. What consent the vendor holds, whether calls are recorded, and whether you can get the record if a call is ever challenged.

Live transfers vs inbound calls

An inbound call is different from a transfer. Nobody dials the senior and nobody screens them: the senior calls a number about final expense coverage and is connected to an agent while still on the line.

  • Who starts the call. A transfer usually starts with a call center dialing out. An inbound call starts with the caller.
  • Screening. A transfer comes after a screener’s questions. An inbound caller reaches you without a warm-up, so you do the qualifying yourself.
  • Billing. Both are usually billed only once a call lasts a set time. On our inbound calls, that is 90 seconds from when you press 1, for 10 tokens ($60 to $80 depending on pack size). Shorter calls are free.

Our callers are not phone-verified and there is no consent certificate for them, and calls are not exclusive. The full rules are on the live calls page. For what to say on the call, see our inbound call script.

Why some agents choose verified exclusive leads instead

Transfers suit agents who close well on the phone and can sit ready in long blocks. Others would rather call on their own schedule, with proof in hand. That is what we sell: every lead came from our own Facebook and Instagram ads, took our final expense quiz, confirmed their phone with a text code, and comes with a TrustedForm certificate. It is yours alone for 30 days.

Leads cost $30 to $40, from 25 leads, no contract, with 7 days to report a bad lead. See pricing, a sample lead, or how our exclusive leads work.

Questions agents ask

How much do final expense live transfers cost?

On vendor pages we checked in September 2026: $20 to $30 per transfer at Final Expense Leads Pro (by 90 to 180-second buffer), $50 to $70 at Liv Calls, and $250 to $300 at InsureLeads. TTC Leads sells inbound calls at $27 to $68.

What is a buffer on a live transfer?

The number of seconds a transferred call must stay connected before it counts as delivered and billable. Longer buffers usually cost more per call.

Are final expense live transfers exclusive?

Some vendors say so: Liv Calls says "100% exclusive, never shared," and Final Expense Leads Pro describes exclusive routing. Ask whether the same senior can be sold again later.

Are live transfers TCPA compliant?

That depends on how the call center dials and what consent it holds, not on the product name. Ask the vendor, and ask a lawyer about your own setup. Sellers can be held responsible for calls made for them.

Does BuyFEXLeads sell live transfers?

No. We sell exclusive final expense leads from our own ads, phone-verified by text code, with a TrustedForm certificate on every lead. We also offer optional inbound calls: people who call our number ring your phone, and a call costs 10 tokens ($60 to $80) only if it lasts 90 seconds or more.

Live calls
Optional. An agent places a call order with their tokens; a person who calls our number from one of the agent's states rings the agent's verified phone, and the agent presses 1 to take it. 10 tokens ($60 to $80 a billed call, since tokens cost $6 to $8 each by pack size) only if the call lasts 90 seconds or more, counted from when the agent presses 1; shorter calls are free. The agent orders leads and calls separately, from the same tokens. The caller's number shows on the agent's phone. Callers are people who dialed our number themselves: no call center, no screening, not live transfers. Every call is recorded. A bad call can get 6 tokens back. Missing 3 calls in a row costs 10 tokens and pauses calls until a request to turn them back on is approved. Callers are not quiz leads: they are not phone-verified and have no consent certificate. Calls are not exclusive. Details: https://buyfexleads.com/live-calls.
